Thanks for your comment. It was actually me who posted the images of the Sainsbury’s on the link! The Sainsbury’s sign is rather lovely and it’s amazing that a shop can get away with having a broken sign for so long. It’s been like that for years. The biggest issue in Sydenham Road is that while the architecture is still rather stunning above shop level, all the shops have been so messed about with and so changed from their original designs only a handful of pre 1980′s shop fronts remain) it would cost millions to take them back to their original state. But there is much you can do for a much lower cost which is the point of this blog, which we have demonstrated with the design of Billings.

How much smarter the high street would be if they all reverted back to this style instead of the mishmash of plastic and broken signage. … (Sigh)

wow, 3 at once! We are struggling with one! The developers are pressing us to finish the artwork as they are ready to order the tile. As the lead times are 2 months that may give you an indication as to when it will be finished. Hopefully! Look up SEE3.co.uk for information on the Portas Pilot. Ok, back to work, we have a big presentation for Wednesday. See you in 13 months! ;-)

I was going to write that I was a very very slow typer but the real reason is that we have a few blogs (we look after the Sydenham Library and Home Park blogs) and have been rather snowed under of late with work all over London, the Greyhound wall which has sucked up a lot of time and the Portas Pilots. So I wasn’t ignoring you, we sometimes miss comments and with a small baby at home don’t always pay enough attention to this blog as we would like! I noticed your comment as we just had a new one, so apologies for not acknowledging you before!
